One of my favorite things to make for dinner in the summer months is big salads. They are so quick and easy, the clean up is a cinch! I typically make them on Thursday nights since we’re at the farmer’s market in the late afternoon. Then I use any leftover ingredients to add more salads to other weeknight meals or to have a salad as a snack. My belief is that you really can’t put too much stuff in a salad…just get creative. With more than 83 million acres and beautiful, scenic spot in all states except Delaware, the National Park System gives us the best places to go with our children and most people can make it a day trip. The outdoors gives them the ability to explore (and us to explore with them.) There’s nothing better than getting out of the house and letting the mind soak up scenery and the imagination wander. If you are using or want to use a cloth diapering system, use cloth diaper wipes also. It’s so easy to add them to your cloth diapering system, some family’s even go “all cloth” after using cloth diaper wipes on baby. Even if you don’t cloth diaper, cloth wipes are much more delicate on babies bottom than store bough wipes. Why put all that stuff on such new, delicate skin. You want the best for you baby so don’t stop at the wipes…. Read more…

Over the past decade farmer’s markets have been gaining popularity with todays family’s. Farmer’s in the U.S. are following the practice of age old farmer’s in cities throughout the world and bringing their produce directly to shoppers in parks and parking lots. Sometimes there is live music to set the mood but probably all shoppers enjoy their visit to the farmer’s market.
Farmer’s markets are one the best way to get fresh produce in your area for about 4 months out of the year, even longer in some places. Read more…
