A Simple Way Out of a Sticky Situation
Do you have an overproductive wax factory in your ears? That’s okay, you are not alone. Many people suffer from a type of dry wax that doesn’t move itself out of the ear canal and can build up causing discomfort and other problems. A simple solution to this ear wax problem is to use ear wax candles.
Ear wax candles are long, hollow and tubular shaped with a tapered end to insert just on the outside of the ear canal. After putting a small paper plate around the bottom of the candle, it is then lit on fire just like a candle would be. While lying on one’s side, the candle is held in the ear until the flame is near the plate. The ear wax is drawn up into the tapered end of the candle.
Try it Yourself
The way these work are truly amazing! Many people doubt the effectiveness of ear wax candles but I can assure you they work. I took my daughter to the doctor because we thought she had and ear infection. The doctor couldn’t see her ear drum because she had major wax build-up. The doctor attempted to clean out the wax with water and a bulb syringe but was unsuccessful so he recommended we put hydrogen peroxide in her ear to get the wax out. I didn’t feel like this was the right thing to do so I candled her ears. One week later we took her back to the doctor and he could see her ear drum perfectly, no infection and no more wax build-up. It had to be the candle because we didn’t do anything else to her ears. You can try this yourself by getting an othoscope and looking in the ears before and after a candling.
