The Hard Water Blues

July 25th, 2007 Sammy

Hard water can really mess things up…drinking glasses get cloudy and filmy and you’re left trying to convince your guests the glass you are giving them is clean. How many shower heads per year does a house with hard water go through? Well, once our shower head blew off and water came pouring out like it does from the end of a hose. Guess it should be changed earlier next time before the hard water build-up gets to be too much. Getting a water softener is an option for some people but it adds another bill to the monthly budget - so what is a hardened home to do?

One of my favorite products may not keep your shower head from exploding but it will definitely keep your dishes gleaming and your dishwasher in tip-top shape. Lemi-Shine is a safe product without phosphates that will keep the yucky scum and grit off your dishes. The only thing artificial is fragrance but I’m not complaining because one treatment works better than scrubbing the dishes with a scouring pad…who’s got time for that anyway.

More Uses
By the way, if you wanted to keep your shower head free from hard water build-up you can soak it in some Lemi-Shime but check the label first because there are precautions for certain surfaces. Also try Lemi-Shine in your coffee maker and on your shower glass doors to remove hard water film and build-up.

Where Can I Get It?
Lemi-Shine is available at Wal-Mart, Albertson’s and on-line at www.LemiShine.com.

Now What?
