Maya Wrap Baby Slings
Maya Wrap makes wonderful slings to carry your infant or toddler with. After using several different slings, the Original Maya Wrap is my favorite. The adjustable ring makes wearing your baby so easy and the light and sturdy fabric makes the sling comfortable to wear. The Original Sling has a shoulder cap to pull down over your shoulder to help diperse the weight of your child more evenly across your shoulders and back. There are lots of fabric choices but first, let’s compare the different slings available…
Original Maya Wrap
The fabric is hand- loomed and breathable. The tail has a small pocket with velcro closure and the tail is open, perfect for discreet nursing or protecting your baby from the sun or cold elements. This un-padded sling is comfortable and can be used in a variety of positions. Machine washable and fits easily into a diaper bag or purse. The Original Maya Wrap sling is recommended to be used for carrying babies and toddlers up to 35 pounds.
Maya Wrap Lightly Padded Sling
This sling is similar to the Original Maya Wrap except this sling has light padding on the shoulder and the pocket on the tail is zippered. There is no padding on the rails so the Maya Wrap Lightly Padded Sling still has the same adjustability as the Original Maya Wrap. This padding may make the Lightly Padded Sling even better than the Original…I just might have to try one!
Maya Wrap Adjustable Pouch
Pouches seem to be the easiest slings to use since they are compact and don’t have any extra fabric. Maya Wrap’s Pouches are also made with hand-loomed, breathable fabric. You can adjust the sling to 5 different lengths with a zipper that doesn’t show while wearing the sling. It is machine washable and recommended for wearing babies and toddlers up to 35 pounds.
MaMaBaby Sling
This sling is similar to the Original Maya Wrap except that it has a bit more stretch. According to Maya Wrap, this is the sling to use if you are going to carry two babies or a baby and a toddler or two toddlers! Perfect for the mom with twins or two babes close in age.
MayaTie
This carrier is great for older children or for those who want something different than the a sling or pouch. It has a back-pack style and can also be worn on the front. A stylish alternative to common front pack carriers. The weight is distributed across the shoulders and waist, perfect for times when you wear your baby all day. Made from breathable, hand-loomed fabric. This carrier is machine washable and recommended for babies and toddlers up to 35 pounds.
