Hi Kirsten -

Sorry I missed your comment and that it has taken me this long to respond.

When using the oil cleanse method I typically don't do anything to my skin in the a.m. except for a wipe with a warm washcloth. During our sleep is when our skin produces sebum and other healthy oils for our skin. If we wash in the morning then essentially we are stripping our skin of moisture just to simply reapply with a store bought moisturizer. Doesn't make much sense does it?

If that doesn't answer your question or if you still have more experience to share feel free to share with us.

I've been using the Oil Cleanse Method for about a week and my skin looks and feels great! I had a problem with a need for exfoliating but realized I could just use the warm washcloth to gently rub away any loose/dead skin. However, I'm not sure what to do in the morning to put on makeup now that I'm not washing my face in the AM--I'd always put it on shortly after applying lotion, but now I'm not using lotion. I thought about using an astringent and then applying lotion, but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Any ideas?
